Is this the right solution for you?
Pipe penetrations and tie holes that are in need of repair are generally very easy to identify. If you are experiencing water leaking into your basement around waterlines, septic lines or tie holes (small nail like embeddings in your foundation) an injection or exterior repair is required. You will likely see water staining around the lines (or tie holes) in question. This staining will cause a darker and possibly "rusty" discoloration of your foundation wall.
Pipe penetration and tie hole repairs are best suited for the following problems:

How it works:
There are two repair options available for those requiring pipe penetration or tie hole repairs; internal or external. The first step in our process will be determining the specific needs of your basement and foundation type. In the event you have a poured foundation, internal injection will be the best course of action. If, however, you have a cinderblock or stone foundation an external repair may be your only option.
Internal pipe penetrations and tie hole injections are very similar to a crack injections. (Please see "Crack Injections" on our services page for additional details.) We will preliminarily, clean, flush and apply wall treatments to the problem area. Once the work area has been prepped, our expert injectors will install injection hardware around the perimeter of your pipes and/or tie holes. Following this hardware installation, specialized concretes or surface sealants are applied to ensure maximum efficacy. The last step in sealing your leak is the injection itself. Polyurethane resin is the primary resin used for this type of injection as it provides longer lasting results that remain reliable throughout ground and seasonality changes.
External pipe penetration and/or tie hole repairs require a slightly different approach. If the leak is inaccessible from the interior, we will need to dig out and expose the damaged area from the exterior. This will require hand digging or using heavy equipment to do so. Once the problem area has been exposed and cleaned, proper treatment and sealing efforts may begin. The first step in sealing the area is cleaning and clearing the area of dirt or debris. Following this step, sealants and specialized materials are applied to ensure the area is sealed from water penetration. Significant leaks may require installation of exterior membranes and other specialized waterproofing material.
Care and maintenance:
The most important aspect to maintaining your interior or exterior pipe penetration or tie hole repair is ensuring the equipment and hardware is not tampered with.
In the case of an internal repair, it is vital that no injection hardware is removed or cut away. One of the biggest benefits to injections is the ability for homeowners to commence interior renovations or repairs to their walls immediately. All hardware must remain intact as this equipment holds the sealing resins in place. This hardware is easily hidden behind drywall and other finishing materials. Otherwise, injections are entirely maintenance free and dependable for the lifetime of your home.
External repairs also have very little maintenance. The most impactful step you can take as a home owner is ensuring that your landscaping and grading are reflective of a well drained property. Seasonal steps you can take are as follows; remove dead foliage and debris from the perimeter of your home, ensure eavestroughs are functioning properly and ensure the soil has not settled below grade line.
